Job Description

  • Must be able to conduct all required task in a safe and environmentally friendly fashion.
  • Ability to troubleshooting all transportation, fixed, and rolling equipment.
  • Ability to performing routine and technical maintenance and repairs on transportation, fixed, and rolling equipment
  • Performs electrical work as needed.
  • Performs maintenance during unscheduled system downtime.
  • Other routine tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Has contact with other employees, professional staff and/or external contacts to give or obtain information or delivery service. Results can affect own functional area.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or specific functional area.
  • Problems vary, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills.
  • Work progress is monitored by Supervisor/Manager. Follows precedent and procedures. May set priorities and organize work within general guidelines established by Supervisor/Manager who is available to resolve problems
  • Specific physical requirements and/or environmental exposures are an essential part of the job
  • Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs, up to 25lbs frequently.

Experience/Education/Training Required:

  • Minimum High School Diploma / GED is required
  • 3 to 4 year's experience required in maintaining off-road heavy equipment and stationary equipment.
  • Occasional use of oral and written skills. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
  • Must be able to interpret and utilize maintenance manuals.
  • Must provide own tools. (Photos of tools required at interview)
